Tackling the Stickers

This is what I was working on tonight. I took the box of stickers that I had collected and I started putting them in protective sleeves. Then, I started bringing down my boxes of stickers. Several people that I know keep their stickers in binders. I've even seen it advertised in scrapbooking magazines. It usually has one binder that holds several categories.
Here are my binders. I still have 4 boxes to do. Having my stickers in the boxes made them look organized, but having them in binders actually organizes them. For instance, if I am working on a soccer page, I just need to pull out the sports album (the different sports are separated in the album). This method is going to work a lot better for when I go to my scrapbooking events. Also, as you can see, some of the stickers were larger than the box, so I would have to store them separately.
I have noticed that I will need larger binders for some of the categories, but I will wait until the project is finished to buy what I need. OH MY GOSH--did you hear what I just said---BUY WHAT I NEED. That is unbelievable. It has only taken me 2 months doing this blog and I am talking like a pro. Buy what I need--Buy what I need--no, that is not hard to say at all. I can't believe it--I am wearing a smile that could light up this whole darn town---I'm so happy.
Anyway, it is after 11pm so I must go. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

Sorting by Boxes

So, here is what I have been working on today. I got these boxes ready and I started to fill them. Some stuff I brought down from my craft room, yet other items were in the den, kitchen, or computer room.

This is a great system.

--Stickers ---chip board/frames/tags--embellishments
It is so easy just putting things in boxes. Once I am done with these boxes, I will move on to more. I am determined to get the den done. It may not be before I leave, but it will get done. I am going to pick up the computer room, kitchen, and living room before I go. That is my goal--to take care of the areas that the family lives in the most.

I don't know if you are aware of the giveaway that I am having, but if you are not Go To the post The Giveaway (Feb24-Mar7,2010) for the details. I have found a lot of items for more giveaways and for my Clearing My Clutter party. This giveaway has definitely added a fun dimention to my blog--I think.

Well, I will keep you informed of everything. Until then...

This is me. This is my blog.

Workout (2/28)

It's Sunday--and the last day of the month. I just stepped on the scale, since tomorrow is weigh in--and it doesn't look too good. No weight loss, in fact-weight gain. I need to do something spectacular today to compensate for the week.
Did you have a good week? Are you working out or watching what you eat? I didn't even eat out this week- it is kind of discouraging. But, I have been told that I could be carrying water weight (it is that time). Last week I thought I had gained weight but somehow I pulled it off.
I need to get my last workout in today, or I will have to start the challenge all over--And I clearly do not want to do that. So, wish me luck.

Clear Stamp Task Done

So, I finished photocopying all of my clear stamps. I will begin putting them into a binder and labeling.
I put my alphabet QuicKutz into a cute little case that I had. I was going to put my regular QuicKutz in the cute little case, but they
wouldn't all fit. I know that I could have expanded it, but I did not want it to be bulky. I need to find a storage container to fit my QuicKutz- I have over 100.
So, I like my carrying case, and how even the big letters fit in the space provided. How do you store your QuicKutz? Right now mine are in metal bins - alphabetically. I
don't know if I need to change my system--I just like to know how other people are storing their supplies.
I'll talk to you later. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

2 Digital Cameras - Yet So Many Problems

So, this is what I am doing today. I am trying to get ready for my vacation, so I am doing as much work as I can at home.

This picture shows my camera (whose battery died - and I can not find the charger). It also shows a memory card that will not work in the digital camera that I am using. For some reason, the card that is currently in there will not work. I am very lucky that I got this picture. This picture also shows what I am working on--I am photocopying all of my clear stamps, so that I will not have to stamp all of them.

So, there you have it, oh and someone told me that blank DVD cases work great for holding clear stamps. As luck would have it, I have a huge paper bag full of new DVD cases. You could also use CD cases, but they would not hold as much. Anyway, good news is that I don't have to go out and buy any cases.

I am going to continue on my project, and I will keep you informed. Until then...

This is me. This is my blog.

Workout (2/27)

It's Saturday - and I need to get at least 1 workout in today (if not 2). I am doing the 21 day challenge and I do not want to start over. Are you doing the challenge? Do you workout on the weekends? I know it is hard to do--and if I did my 3 workouts, I probably would not be working out today. But desperate times call for desperate measures. So, I will be off to the Y today.
I'll talk to you tomorrow.

It is so hard not leaving comments in the Giveaway post. I want to thank all of you for following and posting. If I left any comments it would mess up the numbering system.
I do have a new follower---did you find out about this giveaway from the Blog Giveaway site? If so, could you let me know, I was having troubles on the site (I tried to post a comment, and I never saw it get posted).
Anyway, good luck. Remember: to increase your chances invite a friend(s) or post an organizing tip or weight loss tip. There is no limit on the number of tips you can leave. I am open to any and all suggestions.

Workout (2/26)

It's Friday---finally, the last day of the week. I have yet to get my workouts in. And like Monica said--Do I really want to start over? NO --I DON'T. This challenge is hard enough. So, I have to get 3 workouts in between today and tomorrow. Oh shoot--I just remembered that I have a therapy appt. today. So, I am going to cut this short---I need to go to the Y.
Good Luck getting your workouts in. You can do it. I am going to try SUPER hard to get the 3 workouts in that I need. I really do not want to start over.
I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Stamps, Stamps, and More Stamps

Today's task was organizing my stamps. Since I will be on vacation next week, I want to take something to do that will be fun and easy--stamping. My nieces will love it --- and I will too. Not only will they love all of the stamps, they will be helping me out by stamping them on paper so that I can categorize them in a binder.

Here are all the stamps that I organized. Each tote has a theme, and in each tote there are groups of stamps in plastic bags.
Here is a sample:
This is one of the bags from the totes. It is the beach bag. I gathered all of the stamps pertaining to the beach, shells, and sun and put them in this bag.
This will make the task easier because when I am stamping, all I will have to do is stamp each stamp on one piece of paper--and then I am done. I won't have to worry if there is another stamp in another tote pertaining to the beach.
Now, I know I have my work cut out for me. The amount of stamps is overwhelming. I will have to break this task down over several days. But, the good news is--it will get done. I have desperately needed to do this task because I forget what kind of stamps I have. I am especially eager to do the stamps that I just purchased, the flowers, and the leaves.
For the stamps that need an acrylic block, I may be able to just photo copy them. I'll try to do that before my vacation starts.
So, that is it for today. I am quite tired. I hope you had a good day, and I will talk to you tomorrow. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

Workout (2/25)

It's Thursday--and we are almost done with the work week. This has been a difficult week for me. I don't know about you, but I am definitely hitting a wall. I have not worked out at all this week. I end up doing other things around the house, and then I miss my times at the Y. What helps you stay motivated? I need to get back into the swing of things. This is usually the time when I start dropping out of whatever I have started. I need to get over this hurdle and continue on, but how? It is already 11:30am, and there is much to do.
I'll let you know how I do. Will I conquer the hurdle or will I give in to temptation and not go to the Y?

The Early Morning Task

This is what I finished last night. So, I have one task done and 2 to go. I will work on the kitchen table next because it will not be as difficult as the den.
I, also, need to fill my pill container. I know that there are some medications that I will need to get refilled. This is a weekly task and one that takes some time--Remember I have 20 pills to take EVERYDAY. I don't look forward to this task, but I know that if I don't do it, there is a good possibility that I will miss some doses (and that is not good for anybody). Just recently I had run out of a medication (Pristiq) and I missed 3 days. Boy did my mood change---I was very short tempered and irritable. The nurse practitioner said that it was because I am on such high doses that it affected me so abruptly. Whatever the reason---I don't want that to happen again. I have to get another bottle of my vitamin too. Even with that B12 shot, my energy is low. I take a multi-vitamin with iron (because my iron is low), but I ran out a few weeks ago and I never got another bottle. Have you ever noticed a difference between taking a vitamin and not taking a vitamin?
Well, I'm off to fill the pill container and to clean the kitchen table. I, also, have to take the white boxes upstairs. I'll keep you informed. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

Workout (2/24)

It's Wednesday--and I can't believe I am awake. I was up at 3:30am finishing some tasks. Crazy huh? Anyway, this is it--3 more days left in the work week, so let's get to it. I haven't worked out all week, so I have to go today, unless I want to be working out on the weekend. I need to learn that I need to make time for myself--maybe you struggle with this. It is definitely a battle. I was caught up in doing tasks and micro organizing that I did not get my workout in. I need to do better.
So, how are you doing this week? I know it is hard to get the workouts in--but we need to if we want to make it a habit. So, eat healthy and workout. Good Luck.
I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Back to Micro

Here is me micro organizing again. Instead of doing what I had set out to do----I did this. Again, it is pretty having all of my paints, glitter glue, embossing glitters, and inks in order, but it took all night.

When I go to my sisters, here are 2 projects that I will be taking. First, in the red totes (my Stampin'Up stamps)--I need to put some (a lot) of the stamp sets together. That will take some time.

Then, there are these stamps (5 totes in all) that I have to stamp and categorize in a binder like I did for my other stamps. This will be an even bigger project.

So, right now it is 3:30am. I took a little nap, and then I decided to hit the computer room. I hate leaving projects undone, especially if it seems like I haven't done anything all day. But I did. All of the stamps in the red totes are organized so that I can find them. I helped my 2 step-daughters with projects they had to do. I gathered items for a gift for my niece's birthday. She loves crafts, so I am sending her a whole box of stuff. I organized the stamps in the green totes, so they will be easier to categorize. And I started going through 6 boxes of scrapbooking supplies. So, I did do stuff, but it just doesn't look like it. My kitchen table is still a mess, my den is still a mess, and my computer room was a mess.
Since I got up, the computer room table is clear except for 2 containers of scrapbooking items that need to go upstairs. I, also, organized, labelled, and finished the 6 boxes of scrapbooking supplies.
I will call it a night. I have learned a valuable lesson about micro organizing (one that I learn over and over and over)---you may work really hard at something, but in the end, it doesn't look like you accomplished much at all.
I'll talk to you tomorrow. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

The Den, The Computer Room, The Kitchen

So here is the den/Epicenter. I am going through the white boxes that were stacked in the corner along the wall. It is mostly craft things, so I am going to sort and then put away--or at least put in my craft room.

This is the computer room--messy again--because of me. These were the projects that I have been working on since Friday. So, I need to sort--maybe even finish--and put away. Again, it goes in my craft room, so I may just put the box(es) in my craft room.

Here is the kitchen table--a mess--because of me. This is where I was putting the binder full of my stamp sets together. As you can tell, I did not clean up, but then again, I wasn't done. I am going to try to finish that project today, so that I can get this table back in order.
I have a big day ahead of me, but luckily---I am home (by myself) and I don't have any appts. That is such a relief. Those appts. really break up and ruin my day.
So, I'm off to work. I'll keep you updated. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

Workout (2/23)

It's Tuesday--and I am sore and tired. I do not have a busy schedule today, so I will make it to the Y. I can't really say that I miss it because I am worn out, but I know that I have to go. I already missed Monday, and if I want to get my 3 workouts in, I need to go today.
I know that there are a few people viewing the blog, but are not followers. And I know that you have to be a follower to make a comment, so this is for you. Let's get out there and do this challenge--you can do it. It is a 21 day challenge over 7 weeks, so that means we workout 3 times a week. We are doing this challenge to hopefully start a habit of working out. Maybe you are not doing the challenge to workout -- you are doing it to eat healthier. You can do it. During a week when I couldn't workout, I paid attention to what I ate, and I lost over 2lbs. Another follower lost 3lbs during a week when she couldn't workout. It can be done--and you can do it.
The reason that I started the workout and weigh-in blogs was for motivation. During my regular posts, I had mentioned that I wanted to workout and lose weight. I received a lot of feedback on these topics. As I was thinking how I could address it, I realized that some of the readers may not be interested in losing weight. So, that is why I started separated posts for the workouts and the weigh-ins. I really like how it is coming along. I receive the much needed motivation that I need, and the other followers are able to comment and receive the motivation that they need. I hope the posts and comments help and motivate you as much as it has helped and motivated me.
Well, I'm going for now. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

My Luck

So, I had my weekly therapy appt. (1st of 2), and it went ok. Well, not completely ok. While I was waiting in the "waiting room", I was leafing through a magazine --and I came across this picture...

Does that "top" look familiar? Yeah, that is the thing that I tried to squeeze myself into--and broke the clasp. SHE IS WEARING IT FOR A SHIRT. A SHIRT. I wonder if she actually walks around in that? I couldn't believe it. That picture really put a damper on my mood.

Anyway, I am walking out, and this lady has 2 really cute bags--one is a backpack and one is a duffel bag. She said that they were Vera Bradley. I commented again how pretty her bags were, and I was on my way.
I decide that I was going to go to the Salvation Army to do a little shopping. Here are the purses that I liked. One is a Goldie, one is a Gap, and one is a --Vera Bradley. Can you believe it? It has all the tags, and it was the same pattern as the lady from therapy. How Cool. I was so excited. They keep their name brand bags behind the counter. So, I asked about the salmon and white bag---it said Dolce&Gabbana. Can you believe it? I know--AMAZING. A Dolce&Gabbana bag in the Salvation Army. WOW.
So, I went on eBay to check out these purses--yeah, I think the Dolce&Gabbana is a fake. Bummer huh? It doesn't have the proper tags inside. I was fooled by the outside tag. Well, at least I got a Vera Bradley right? And the salmon & white bag is really pretty even though it is a fake. I really love all of the bags I got, ---but then again I am a purse junkie. From the words of my niece " I love them sooo much".
That is what I did today--therapy--shopping--and eating. As for organizing, well I am going to try to do some work in the den. I do have some great news--I'm going to visit my family in Pittsburgh. Now, my sister and my dad really know how to organize, maybe I'll be able to take some pictures to give you a glimpse into their world. If I only had their talent...oh the possibilities. I am going to try to keep the blog going while I am out of town. I may also take some projects with me. We'll see how it goes.
I'm going to go for now. I'll talk to you later. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

Workout (2/22)

It's Monday ---Ladies. Time to start the week off right--let's workout. I have an appt. today, so I hope to workout after my appt. It has a tendency to be emotionally gruelling, and getting into that pool seems to melt stuff away. My goal today is the 64 lengths (1 mile). I only did it once last week, and I am going to try to improve that.
Also, this week--I want to try the Yoga discs that I have. I actually have many workout DVD's, but Yoga may be the best remedy while I am going through therapy. Additionally --this week--I want to finish my intro in the weight room, so that I can start lifting weights. Building a little bit of muscle will surely improve my chances of weight loss.
So, let's get moving. And I will talk to you in the comments.

Weigh-in (2/22)

It's Monday--and it is weigh-in time. I was quite surprised when I stepped on the scale today. It read 213.8lbs, and I thought that I had gained .2lbs. I was kinda bummed. I had worked out, and I ate pretty healthy. Now "The Evil Twin" is in town, so I just attributed my gain to her. But, then --lo and behold-- I went to put the numbers in my notebook, and I had lost .8lbs. I was so excited. It is not the 2lb mark that I am aiming for, but it is another loss--and I will take a loss any day.
So, how did you do? Good week or Bad week? Did you meet your goal? Remember everything counts. These .2 and .8lbs are not showing in my clothes --yet, but they will. If I add up all the numbers, I have lost 5.2 lbs in 4 weeks. If I met my goal, I would have lost 8lbs, but I didn't. In my books--5.2 isn't bad either though. If I would be more strict, I could probably attain my goal, but I am just beginning. And beginning means not drinking a Coke is hard, not eating 4 donuts is hard, not eating cookie dough is hard, working out 3 days a week is hard, and not going out to eat is hard. The beginning is the toughest part because once you take away these things a couple of times--it gets easier and easier (for some things). For example, I did go out to eat this week, but instead of eating a steak dinner at Carrabba's--I had a sub from Jimmy John's. Sure, it was not as good as the steak, but I did go out to eat. It's all about choices--hard choices.
If you are a part of our weigh-in-- Good Luck. I'd love to hear how you are doing. If you are one of the followers that doesn't leave comments--I wish you luck and keep up the good work. If you struggle one day, don't worry there is always a new day. Tomorrow will always be there,--- so take everyday --one day at a time.
I'll talk to you next week. Best of Luck to all of You.

The Book

So, here it is. THE BOOK --This book is filled with all of the stamp sets in these 2 totes. The book also contains ideas --for reference.

I decided to separate the book by the following:
1) Ideas
2) Flowers
3) Mr & Mrs
4) Girl
5) Food
6) Baby
7) Sports
8) Animals
9) Letters/Words
10) Holidays
11) Frames & Tabs
12) Backgrounds
13) Invites
14) Business
15) Other
I completed 96 pages --over these last 2 days. It was a tough task, but I am glad that these stamps are completed. I have about 5 more totes, but only 1 is as big as these 2. These were just my Stampin' Up stamps.
So, that was my weekend--I hope you had a fun one. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

My Dog & The Snow

..

..

..
..
This was our break today. I had been working hard cutting out and sorting stamp sets, so I needed a break. Velvet was already outside enjoying her maze. We started playing Frisbee, and then I started throwing snowballs at her. She caught them. It was so funny-- I started throwing her one right after another. Some were too big so she would crunch on them and eventually lose some of the snowball in the snow. It was funny watching her trying to dig the remainder up.
After a while, she started eating the snowball right from my hand--that is when I decided to get the camera. This was priceless. It was like feeding an animal at the zoo. Very Cool--and I got it on "film".
Well it is time for lunch. I'll talk to you soon--well, tonight. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

Workout (2/21)

It's Sunday. Is anyone going to workout today? I might. I feel like I have been run over by a truck--I am soooo sore. And I don't know why. The only thing that I have done differently this week is move my heavy totes back and forth from the scrapbooking event. Boy do my legs and back hurt, and my arms hurt too.
It is 10:30 and the pool is open from 1-3pm. I haven't decided if I am going to go or stay home. It is a real toss up because if I stay home I can nurse these tender muscles one more day.
Well, if you are working out today--good for you. Keep up the good work. If you are eating healthy,--good job. I'm finding it extra hard to eat healthy. I got my workouts in, but boy do I want some ice cream or chocolate.Yummm.
I'll talk to you tomorrow. Good Luck.

The Binder

This is what I worked on today. In fact, this is where I worked all day--on the couch watching movies.

I cut out the stamp sets that I have, and I began taping them to computer paper. The next step will be to put them in protective sleeves, and then into a binder. I'll have to make a table of contents, but I don't know how I am going to categorize the sets yet.

There are a few sets that I cannot find, and there are some sets I still have to photocopy. It's 7pm, and I have been working on this all day---well I did take a break. And I did this...

I made a path in the snow for my dog to go. I plan to work on it tomorrow. She loves the outside, and she especially loves the snow. So, I am making her a little maze. Cool huh. Right now--you can't see it, but the path goes to her favorite tree. Tomorrow, I shovel a little maze in the back of the yard so that she can continue her sniffing. A maze for my dog--GENIUS. I know. You don't have to say it, but you can. I'm a great Dog Mom. Thanks.
A reader has told me about some giveaway sites that I am going to check out. I may start doing giveaways on this site--I still need to check on it--but it does sound fun. If I choose a different site, I will be sure to let you know.
Well, I'm going to go for today. I hope you had a great day, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

Workout (2/20)

It's Saturday--usually a day of rest for most people, but I may go to the Y. I am quite frustrated---the phone has been ringing non-stop, so I have not been able to sleep. I got in late from scrapbooking last night--and nobody is in the house except me---so I thought that I could catch up on my sleep. Forget that. From 10-11:15, one person called 5 times, one called 4, and one called 2 times. All in one hour--the same people over and over--Unbelievable. I just wanted some sleep, now everyone is returning home, so chaos will ensue. And that is why I am going to the Y--I hope that they are open.
If you are planning to workout, good for you. If not that is ok--enjoy the weekend. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

It's Time to Let Go / Organize

..
..
..
..
..

This was the scene at the scrapbooking event that I attended today (Friday). I just got home and it is 12:12am. The two pictures are of items that I was selling to the women. I sold paper, stickers, chip board, stamps, eyelets, tags, books, and magazines. The prices were set to move the items-paper was .10, double-sided paper was .20, overlays were .25, stickers were .25-$2, stamps were $1-$4, eyelets were .50, books were $2, and magazines .50.

While my scrapbooking items were being sold (we just put a container out for the women to put their money into), I was organizing some of my stamps. These totes contain my Stampin' Up stamps. I was going through the idea books and tearing out the pictures of the stamp sets that I have. I matched the torn sheets to the stamp sets and put them in totes. Some sets I could not find in the idea books, so I will either stamp them on paper or make a photo copy of the stamp set.

Next, I will cut out the stamp sets and the ideas that go with them and put them on white computer paper. Then, I will group them seasonally and alphabetically. I still have a long time until this project is finished, but I am really glad that I started it. I have been wanting to do this for a while.

Well, I am tired. I hope you had a great day. Mine was busy trying to prepare for today--but I did it--- I got it done--and I made some money too.

I'll talk to you tomorrow. Until then...

This is me. This is my blog.

Workout (2/19)

It's Friday! Yahoooo. Did you get your workouts in? I still have one to fit in--I plan to go to the Y right after I finish typing this post.
I have to tell you, earlier this week I was a little discouraged. I had not lost any weight like I had done in the previous weeks. Discouragement turned into frustration and today I ate 4 donuts---4. That's ridiculous--good, but ridiculous. I don't feel bad at all, I probably should--but I don't. I watched what I was eating--and nothing, I worked out --and nothing, I can't even say that my pants felt looser. Do you ever feel like this? Now I don't know if "the evil twin" arriving has anything to do with it, I heard that sometimes it is hard to lose weight when that time of the month comes around. Frustrating--I tell you--FRUSTRATING.
I am not looking forward to Monday's weigh-in at all. I did buy those diet pills that I haven't tried yet. If Monday turns out to be a blue Monday, I think I may have to turn to the pills.
I hope all of you are having a better week than I am. Good luck in getting your workouts in--I know that you can do it. And good luck eating healthier. I blew it today, but in the grand scheme of things it is one meal-- on one day --out of one week-- during a 7 week challenge. I can do better, and I will--I just had a moment.
I'll talk to you tomorrow and in the comments.

Racks (Scrapbooking)

One of the errands that I had to do today was pick up some scrapbooking (paper, ribbon, ink) racks. When I got them home, I cleaned them, and of course I filled them. The one pictured here displays my holiday/seasonal ribbon (Valentine's Day through 4th of July).

..

I ended up filling this rack. I have had it (it used to hold my tapes--yeah--I did--I said it--tapes). Anyway, it has been repurposed, and now it holds my ribbon. On the top row are ribbons with words, the middle row is sports, and the bottom row is felt and velvet.

The white paper rack on the right is another rack that I just got today. I brought it home and cleaned it up. It houses my 8x10 metallic, satin, and vellum paper. I really like this rack. It is slender so it fits nicely next to my other paper holder, and it accents my speciality paper.

I am very happy with my purchases. I will probably paint the two wooden racks white,--but that won't be until summertime probably.

Another errand that I got done today was my B12 shot. Boy --did I need it. I have had no energy. Well, thank goodness I got that done.

I helped set up tables at a church that I will be scrapbooking at tomorrow. I also took some of my scrapbooking items to sell. Don't worry--I will still have my "Clearing My Clutter" party, I am just trying to weed out some items.

That's all for today. I hope you had a good and productive day. I will talk with you tomorrow. Until then...

New/Old Strategy

Here is the couch that the totes were on. I've decided to change my strategy a little bit. I am going to put boxes on the couch instead. I have noticed that there is a lot of craft stuff, memorabilia, and office supplies in this room. So, I am going to use the boxes to sort and then take the boxes downstairs until I can bring them up --one by one--and put the contents away.

Like usual, I have started several projects that I have not completed. I still need to complete my closet, I need to paint and finish the computer room, I need to complete the den, and I need to continue working on my craft room.

I am off to another appt., and during that time I will decide what task I want to do. I am leaning towards my closet, but who knows. It would be nice to complete something today, but I don't think that is going to happen.

And did you think the yellow for the computer room was too bright? I have never painted a room yellow before. I do not like mustard for my walls--I did want something brighter--like summer. But there are so many yellows to choose from--even picking a color can be overwhelming.

I'll talk to you later. Until then...

Workout (2/18)

It's Thursday--we are almost done with our week. How are you doing? I have 2 workouts down so far and I plan to get my last one in today. I am still tired from yesterday and I still need to get my B12 shot.
You can do it. Try to get a workout in today. Try to eat healthier. If you are not doing the 21 day challenge--try it out--you'll be surprised what you can do.
I'm going to go for now. Post your workout or your eating habits. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Good luck.

Banana Treat

..
..
..
..
..
..
You must be wondering why I am showing you pictures of my Banana dessert. Well, the directions that "I" read were place 3 large sliced bananas on a graham cracker crust or a pastry of your choice. Then squeeze contents of pouch "Nana Creme Filling" evenly over bananas.Refrigerate 4 hours. Well, my husband pointed out to me that it said "prepared graham cracker crust" and he got the Betty Crocker book out. Needless to say, I'm here trying to make a simple dessert for the family. So what if I put the graham crackers in a zip lock bag--pounded them with my fist--and called that a crust. I'm sure this can be considered a crust. It's not going to taste bad. I mean for heaven's sake it's bananas, graham crackers, and "Nana's" filling. My husband just shook his head and went out the door. I'm sure in his perfect little world, with his perfect little wife, wearing the perfect little apron--could have produced the perfect little dessert. But we are talking me here--the one who doesn't cook--the one who thinks pizza rolls make a great dinner--and the one that calls A1 sauce---AL's steak sauce. One could say that I do not know my way around the kitchen, the spice rack, the pantry (unless it is for DOUBLE STUF OREO'S---then I can find my way), the oven, the toaster oven, and all of the little gadgets that one just has to have from every cooking company. You know what I mean--the orange peeler--the paring knife--the melon baller---etc. In fact, we bought an expensive set of knives, so now I can't even use the glass cutting boards because it will dull the knife. People--my husband should be proud that not only do I know but I remember that little fact!
Wow, did I get off subject. I'll let you know how the dessert goes--it will either go or it won't.
I am doing my totes--don't you worry. I am organizing--I just took a little break for a cooking lesson from my husband. I guess all of you know by now that my husband DID NOT marry me for my cooking abilities. lol And just to let you know--spell check recognized A1 and not AL's.
I'm going to get back to work, it's 7 pm and I will work for another hour. I hope your day has gone good. Talk to you soon. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

Totes/Baskets

I still need to work on my totes and baskets. I did not get anything done yesterday. While the dentist was working on my tooth, he realized that the other tooth was infected. Not my luckily day. He had to work on both teeth which was painful. My day did not get much better, so I did a little in the household, but not enough to take a picture. I also did some homework--which took longer than I thought.
I am going to continue to work on the table in the den, while I empty the totes/baskets. I will keep you updated. Until then...
This is me. This is my blog.

Workout (2/17)

It's Wednesday--we are half-way done. Monica and Roxanne seem to be getting their workouts in. I have my suit on and I am going to go to the Y after this post. I did not get my workout in last night due to family problems. But there are no excuses for this morning. The kids are off yet again-snow day-can you believe it. They were off yesterday too. Well, I am dropping them off at their grandmothers. I will get the workout in today because if I don't, I will have too much to make up.
If anyone else is out there doing the 21 day challenge, good luck getting your workouts in. I know you can do it.
If you are trying to eat healthier, stick with it. I know you can do it.
Remember---small steps--it gets the job done. It may be discouraging not to see big improvements (believe me - I know), but any improvement -no matter how small- is still an improvement.
It is the 17th of February. What is your goal? My goal is 2lbs a week by May 10th. Some weeks I am under that goal, but some weeks I am over that goal. If I lose 2lbs a week by May 10, that will be 30lbs. Now that is BIG. But so far, I have only lost small amounts (1.5, 2.7, .2). Those amounts total 4.4lbs- which is a nice weight loss for 3 weeks. Now it should be 6lbs, but I really blew my last weigh-in. Little by little, hopefully, I can make it up. But, hey I still lost 4.4lbs--and that is 4.4lbs that I am not carrying from last month--I'll take it.
So, see how small improvements can become something big. If I can do it, I know you can do it. Just stick with it, it will happen. You will become stronger and leaner. I will talk to you tomorrow. Go for it.

Emptying the Totes/Baskets ---Epicenter

These are the totes and baskets in the Epicenter/Den. As you can see, some of them are getting pretty full, and since I am doing the table in the den, I need to start emptying them before I go any further.

I have a few appts. today including the dentist. I am not looking forward to that one. But one errand that I am looking forward to is picking up Velvet. She spent a couple nights at the kennel. She loves it there, and I schedule her a bath on the day I pick her up. She is usually pretty tired when she comes home (she watches all the dogs--so much activity).

I think I need to get a couple boxes ready for craft stuff. I have a lot of craft stuff in this room and in the next room that I will be doing (spare bedroom).

Hope you are having a good day. I'll keep you informed. Until then...

Workout (2/16)

It's Tuesday. And do your kids have a snow day? The ones in this household do. I have a lot to do today, so they will be going to grandma's. My day is full, so I will have to fit my workout in this evening. Hopefully, I get it in. I worked out yesterday (1 down--2 to go). When you look at it that way, it doesn't seem so bad.

Are you doing the challenge? Come on--it can be fun. Remember we are preparing for summer. Let's get into that mindset. T-shirts, cropped pants, warm/hot weather. I know that I would feel better if I lost a few pounds. I guess I would feel comfortable loosing more than a few pounds because I have lost a few, but I really can't tell the difference.

My goal is still, 2 lbs a week. Sometimes I meet that goal and sometimes I don't. But I am trying and I am changing the way I do things---and that is Big.

So, keep working on it. Working out--Eating healthy--it will all pay off.

I will talk to you tomorrow.

This is a pile of scrapbooking supplies. And the second picture is of the scrapbooking supplies boxed up.
This is what I have done today. I also filled my pill box.I did not get any of my remaining errands done--which I really need to get my B12 done. I am tired.
I'll talk to you tomorrow. Until then...

New Task

I'm onto a new task. I will be finishing up projects in between working on the new task. This table is in the den. As you can see, it is not usable--I plan to change that. I haven't decided if I will box stuff up for the "Clearing My Clutter" party or if I will just bag it up for the Salvation Army.

Speaking of Army, I have a lot of military, police, and fire fighter paper that I will be getting rid of. I kept a good amount for myself, and I plan to sell the rest.

Whatever doesn't go, I may just give to a local fire house or police department (maybe their wives scrapbook).

Well, that is all for now. I will keep you updated. Until then...
